The Republican Debates

I thought Ron Paul and John McCain did very well last night. Mitt Romney acted like a spoiled brat who was about to loose the popularity contest at his grade school. And Huck kept looking for a phone so he could call the fundamentalist to find out what he should say when asked questions.

I believe the winner was Paul with McCain coming in second. Paul was very precise on his answers and the moderators did not give him a chance to answer questions and continually tried to forget he was there. McCain handled Romney very well but Romney's fits he was throwing, and whining, over shadowed the debates. And of course Huck kept looking for someone to tell him what to say, the puppet strings on Hucks arms were very clearly seen.

Rudy Giuliani leaves Presidental Race

Giuliani announced that he was out last night and he is now supporting John McCain.

Exit John Edwards

John Edwards just announced that he is pulling out of the Presidential race. Details at the news sites listed on the right.

0.6 percent

Ladies and Gentlemen,

We are in a recession. It is being caused by the very low dollar, the cut in interest rates, and george's foolish war. george is spending hundreds of millions of dollars a day on a war and yet he cannot afford to spend money on our children. george cut taxes but now its catching up to us. Also free trade is causing problems as well.

I have no solution to getting us out of the recession. I do know that the economic stimulus package is not the right thing to do. If you really want to help people, order banks to forgive their home loans and let them have their houses. If you want to help people, investigate the price gouging at the pumps and in the cable and phone industry. If you want to help people, repeal the help that Banks got in the bankruptcy reform and repeal the entire bankruptcy act all together. If you want to help people, pass laws that force the jobs that were shipped overseas to return. And if the businesses, in a childish fit, close the jobs... Have the Government take them over then sell them to good business leaders who care about keeping jobs in the United States. If you want to help people, repeal the Alternative Minimum Tax. If you want to help people, increase how much they get in the Food Stamp program to where a person can buy enough groceries for a family of 4 for an entire month and a single person for a month as well. If you want to help people, raise the minimum wage to 15 bucks an hour then enact price freezes that prevent businesses from raising their prices. If you want to help people, make college education free. Business leaders say we need more specialized labor, lets make sure people can learn new skills for free.

As I said I do not know what will get us out of this recession, but doing the things above, and maybe even bringing back New Deal legislation will help the people.

State of the Union

Tonight, george will be squawking about the state of the union.

But what is the state of the union?

In my opinion, its this:

1. Failing schools due to every (no) child left behind. The schools teach how to take test not how to be innovative or how to think. It does make very good robots however.
2. Homelessness. Sure there are those out there who are fit as a fiddle but will not work. But the majority of Homeless would love to have jobs. Also there are a vast amount of people who are disabled who are homeless. Worst, social security has deemed people who are disabled, as being able to work thus refusing to pay them what they are due. Also many homeless live in areas where they cannot afford even a Studio apartment.
social security also has refused to declare disabled veterans as disabled. This is even though the Army has deemed the vets disabled and the Vets own Doctors have as well. In fact, a very large number of disabled people in general have the evidence to back up their claim, but according to social security, they are not disabled, "according to our rules"
3. Health Care. We have no national health care. We are the only so-called first class nation not to have one. That right there makes the United States a second class nation. george would rather spend 178 million dollars a day on a useless war than 30 billion dollars over 10 years on children's health care. george uses excuses like "the people who do not need health care would get it." Well george, families who make 100000 a year are finding health care priced out of their range. WOW! just think about a family that makes 45000 or so a year what about them?
The only way I see to fix our health care is to make a National Health Care system. There are stories and even out right lies about health care in other first class nations, we need to ignore the lies and get national health care for this nation. If you train enough doctors and build enough health centers, hospitals you will NOT have lines. Make being a Doctor a must have job by offering very good pay and good perks like tax exemption for doctors and a free house and good vacation time. Then there will not be shortages.
4. I don't think I need to spend time on the useless war in Iraq. I believe we would have had Osama if we had just concentrated on Afghanistan. But then george needed to win an election so he invaded Iraq.
5. Recession and Inflation. We got ourselves into this mess by deregulating everything. george allowed the oil companies to price gouge us and now we are paying 3 bucks a gallon for gas. It was just $1.20 under President William Clinton and 78 cents under president Ronald Reagan. Reducing the interest is not going to cause the Recession to end, what will cause things to get better, in my opinion, is putting up tariffs to block foreign trade, With-draw from the World Trade Organization and other organizations, and to force American companies to re-locate their jobs back to the United States.

I do not hold any hope for the State of the Union speech. george will just be trying to salvage any kind of legacy he thinks he can get out of the Nation. george is a lame duck and its time Congress treated george like he was one.

Obama

Well I will tell you who I am rooting for. I hope I do not jinx him by saying so.

I feel Obama will be the best president and will represent what is important to me. That being a Strong Economy, re-engineering the education system. Restoring the Constitution, and ending the needless war in Iraq. I do feel, however, that it might be ok to leave troops in Afghanistan, however. Still thinking on that one.

I am disgusted with hillary for not saying more against the false e-mails that indicated that Obama was of the Islamic faith. Obama is a Main Line Christian, like I am.

Good luck Obama.

Cold

Its quite cold this morning in Tennessee. I think it got down to 11 degrees here last night.

I saw the debates last night and I can only state that Huck made himself look even more stupid than he was before. Otherwise all the other candidates did very well. I was surprised that Paul did very well also.

To anyone from Blogs for Victory, I hope you enjoy my site. Thanks for stopping by

Its the economy, Stupid!!!

I am still amazed that many fundamentalist reconstructionist think Abortion is going to win the day for them. They think fellow fundamentalist will ignore facts and vote based only on one issue, the Abortion issue.

Gallop and many other polls show Abortion is at the deep bottom of the list when people decide who they will vote for. The Economy, the so-called war on terror and Iraq are the top three. Abortion does not even make the top ten.

Its the Economy.... STUPID!!!

Congress should allow surveillance law to expire

As citizens we expect the right to privacy. dick thinks otherwise. dick is the so-called vice president if you were wondering. dick wants the improper and illegal laws that he, fundamentalist reconstructionist groups, and the so-called president made to be permenant.

It seems strange to me that the FBI was able to fight terrorist in the 1990's during President Clinton's presidency. They caught all the terrorist who bombed the WTC in 1992.

dick wants to be able to listen to everything you do and I say NO. Congress should do nothing and allow the law to expire. Then congress should vote to bring home our troops.

Fred Thompson drops out of Presidental Race

Fred Thompson has dropped out. Story here on MSNBC.

Huck fires a low blow at McCain

Not very nice having Chuck Norris complain about McCain's age. Ronald Reagan was in his upper 70's when he left the white house after 2 terms.

Very low blow Huck.

Life after people.

While everyone was watching hillary act like a child last night during the debates, I was watching a very bizzare film called "Life after People"
The film is about what would happen to our civilization, buildings, roads, and pets if people were removed from the world. It is a very disturbing film.

Over on the History Channel's own Forums people are asking what was this film about and why it was made. I also ask this question. Why did they make this film? For educational purposes? to cash in on a new film about the last man on earth?

The film is unrealistic. First of all, baring all of us hopping into star ships or the rapture occurring and everyone going to heaven (which even the bible says will not happen IE: not everyone will go to heaven) this is NOT the way things would be after people vanish. There would be extensive damage. Radiation would be everywhere if there was a Nuclear war. And if it was a Gamma Burst, not just the people but all life except microbes that buried themselves deep in the earth, would die. If it were a plague, its very likely that many animals would also catch it and die. If it were the actions of elitist killing people off, there would surely be uprisings and in the end its more likely that the Good people would capture or kill the elitist.

The film bothers me. It makes me wonder if there was not another reason for the film? What I mean here is was this done as a message to some group???

Very strange film. I would recommend it for its graphics, and realism (In as far as what would happen to a building if no one took care of it ) but I do not recommend it for family viewing, education, and other historical reasons.

I rate this film a half star for unrealistic portrayals of fictional events.

good day

Feds cut rate by 3/4th of a percent

The Fed has shown their desperation by cutting the rate by 3/4th of a percent. I suspect that this will work for a week or two but the economy is already in free fall and the Fed will probably have to cut the rate, again, again and again.

Wonder when the administration will wake up and realize we are in a recession?

I don't think people will use their money to buy buy buy. I think they will pay off their credit cards or stick the money in the bank. I also believe its this buy buy buy mentality that has gotten our nation into this mess. Maybe if people would save more and spend on things they need not on things they want, that we might have had a very strong economy by now.

In my opinion, people should pay off their debts and stick the rest in the bank into either a Saving Bond or some other savings plan. Do not buy stock.

Good day.

A Mystery

I find it very interesting that World of Warcraft, Team Speak and Blogger were all down at the same time.

Anyone else having problems?

EDIT: Looks like the problems have been resolved. We shall see

South Carolina

Looks like John McCain has won the South Carolina Primary. He is on a roll.

Nevada contest

Looks like Hillary Clinton and Mitt Romney won the Nevada Contest. If Obama wants to win he will have to win big on Super Tuesday.

Who ever heard of Messenger?

Did you know, that the first space probe since 1975, has arrived at Mercury? If you watch MSNBC or CNN you would never had known. Sure they did mention it in their Websites but not one word on the air.

As I have watched these two cable news networks, I have not seen one sentence about this probe. This probe, unlike Mariner 10 has advanced camera's and other scientific equipment.

I am very disappointed that the MSM seems to be obsessed with politics that they cannot fit in this one important story.

For more info check out the NASA website.

The return

Hello all, I am back. Hopefully I will not be as angry as I was in 2004-2005. I hope to make this site a spot where I can express my views on a great many things and not just politics.

Today I am totally against Mike Huck's Fair tax.

Here's Why.

1. They say it will be 23% I say the tax will not stop till it is above 100% or more.

2. The Rebate to those who make less than 35,000 dollars. This will be the one that breaks the back of this so-called tax plan. In order to pay what was promised, Huck will have to end almost all social programs like Social Security etc. Then when that money is gone, he will then be forced to raise the national sales tax and that figure could soar to above 100% or more.

Vote for someone else, not Mike Huckabee.

Enough of that.

Tomorrow primaries in Nevada and in South Carolina. I predict Huck will win South Carolina and I am going with Obama for Nevada.

We shall see.

Be safe.

EDIT and UPDATE: Wow I blew that, hillary and McCain won
